Argus consists of a range of software products aimed at serving the specific needs of differing healthcare providers and organisations.
ArgusMessenger - the core of all Argus products
ArgusMessenger is the emailing component which forms the core of all Argus solutions, providing downloading and uploading of the Argus email messages, PKI encryption and decryption, plus message delivery assurance by an intelligent peer-to-peer acknowledgement process.
ArgusMessenger is the product of choice for general practitioners, specialists and allied health providers.
ArgusMessenger utilises a range of mechanisms for interfacing with currently-available clinical and patient management software including:
ArgusAgent - directory-polling method of file pickup by Argus
ArgusAPI - direct program-to-program interface
MAPI - sending to Argus via an application's email option
ArgusWord - for those without a clinical application
ArgusWord is a Microsoft Word interface which gives users the ability to send letters and documents securely by Argus, without leaving Word. ArgusWord is specially aimed at those doctors and organisations that do not use clinical software and wish to exchange their word-processed documents securely with other healthcare providers.
In particular, many specialists choose to use ArgusWord so that the medical typist has the capacity to easily transmit specialist reports to referring GPs in a way that can be imported directly into the GP's clinical records.
ArgusEnterprise - for healthcare enterprises
ArgusEnterprise is an enterprise version of Argus which is designed to provide an extremely robust, higher volume facility for sending and receiving secure messages. The enterprise version is particularly suited to pathology and radiology practices, hospitals and other healthcare organisations that routinely send reports to a larger client-base than the typical specialist practice.
There is an additional module specifically designed for radiology environments called ArgusBroker which provides administration staff with the ability to queue outgoing radiology reports, approve them for sending via Argus or submission for correction and re-issuing.
