Argus 5 is coming…

Argus 5, the new version of our widely-used secure clinical messaging software, is scheduled for public release in mid-March 2010.

Argus 5 will make it easier to...

  • have Argus upgraded each time a new patch or release is issued
  • monitor and manage your incoming and outgoing messages
  • monitor and manage your local Argus address book
  • communicate with over 20,000 health providers around Australia

Argus 5 features...

  • Auto-online software upgrades and automatic patching
  • Enhanced Argus Message Viewer
  • Enhanced Argus Address Book Manager
  • Argus message statistics gathering
  • Interconnectivity with Medical Objects
  • Database change: From Firebird to PostgreSQL

Details about these features are given at the following link: Argus 5 Feature Summary.

All GP, Specialists and Allied Health practices that have a current Argus Priority Support contract will get assistance with the Argus 5 changeover installation at no extra cost.

GP, Specialist and Allied Health practices that do not have a current Argus Priority Support contract are strongly encouraged to take up Argus Priority Support by applying through our website before Argus 5 is released.

Only by upgrading to Argus 5 will you have access to:

  • the enhanced functionality outlined above; and
  • the pathway for future interconnectivity with other clinical messaging networks working with the National E-Health Transition Authority (NEHTA).

Further details about the release date and upgrade process will be notified in the next few weeks.
